Amb Da Boota
Amb-Da-Boota welfare trust is the most prominent, well-recognised, and a highly disciplined NGO in the valley. It was formed in 2000 by professor Manzoor Ahmed Khan, currently living in Great Britain. This charity organisation was registered with UK Charity Comission on 7th Nov 2002 and with Kashmir Council Islamabad on 25th April 2002.

Main Objectives:
1. To provide financial support to orphans, widows, divorcee's, the disabled and blind, through monthly grants.
2. To construct footpaths and small bridges in order to provide safe passageways.
3. To help religious institutes.
4. To promote and enhance standards of education.
Other than the objectives mentioned above, the Trust is also working on the rehabilitation front. So far, in this regard, Amb-Da-Boota has distributed 32 sewing machines to women in need in order to give them the means to stand on their own feet and provide for themselves.
